Welcome to Bowls Taupo

Home for the Sports & Leisure Community.

Bowls Taupo is a club for the community, boasting one grass and one artificial green, with four club day’s per week, enabling our members, guests and casual bowlers to enjoy bowls all year round.

Members and their guests have access to licensed refreshments and visiting bowlers are always very welcome.

Open tournaments are very popular, especially the four feature events, the LakeCrest Village Great Lake Classic Fours, the Speedy Signs New Year Triples, the Mitre 10 Mega Blue Ribbon Fours & the LakeCrest Village Golden Oldies Mini Classic Fours.

We promote competitive & casual fun bowls. Non bowlers enjoy special no obligation ‘Give Bowls a Go’ Open Day’s, the Placemakers Taupo Twilight Bowls and the Bayleys Taupo Business House Bowls, with regular club day’s, tournaments & championships available for those who wish to play competitively – Bowls Taupo caters for all.

Taupo – a Truly Great Destination.

Bowls Taupo is on Ferry Road, overlooking Lake Taupo and located only minutes from Downtown, with its feature shopping and leisure features.  We are adjacent to the Taupo Yacht Club and only two minutes away from the large Taupo Boat harbour with it’s vast selection of lake tours, fishing excursions and water leisure activities to suit all ages.  Kids love the safe waterfront & the beaches are ideal for the family picnic.

Together with our Partners we offer a range of facilities and services to make your Event or Function a success.

The Club facilities are ideal for all business or social groups regardless of size and are very competitively priced.  Bowls is a great leisure activity, providing a relaxed, fun and convenient opportunity for:

We will work with you to arrive at a hire package to make your event cost effective and within your budget, including:

  1. You get a fun game that is able to be played by your entire team
  2. Full bar facilities with various options from open service to a fixed beverage offering, with specific tabs to payment by individuals.
  3. We will discuss catering options.

All your guests have to bring is flat soled shoes and we provide everything else, including the bowls and a friendly support team, to ensure you enjoy your day.
